Roger Federer’s remarkable career spanned 24 years, during which he won numerous titles and is still recognized as one of the greatest players that ever graced the court. Meanwhile, his fellow rivals Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic are still competing on the big stage.

The 42-year-old had some inspiring words for them in a recent interview. Federer admitted he couldn’t advise them as they continue to play at the highest professional level of the game.

They were dubbed as the Big Four, having won 69 Grand Slams and over 100 Masters 1000 titles. But in the recent years Murray, Nadal, and Djokovic have begun to suffer injuries more frequently as they older in the game. Novak Djokovic just had a successful right knee surgery a few days ago after playing with the injury for weeks. Nadal returned from over eleven months sideline and seems not to be fully fit.

Murray returned from a ligament injury in May but has earned one win in five matches. Their era seems to be slowly winding up, but Federer hopes to see them play for more years. The Swiss legend believes they add value to the sport.

We've gone through similar things but I'm too far away to give advice. If he called me up, I'd be happy to answer some questions ... I hope Andy, like Rafa and Novak, can keep playing forever, like a fan. The tour is better with them.

Roger Federer last visited a Grand Slam event at the 2023 Wimbledon to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the competition. He added he may likely be at the event this year as his children want to watch the matches live.
