Swiss legend Roger Federer has been missing from action for almost a year. He last participated at the Australian Open 2020, where he reached the semifinal. And since then, Federer hasn’t taken the court. The pandemic forced the games to be shut. And during that time, Federer underwent a surgery in May, which forced him out of future tournaments.

However, now that the new season has begun, fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing the Swiss play again. The wait was prolonged by Federer’s withdrawal from the Australian Open 2021. But, recently Rotterdam Open 2021 Tournament Director Richard Krajicek shed seem light on where Federer might make his comeback.

Krajicek believes that Roger Federer will make his comeback by playing at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha. This tournament seems to be the perfect place for Federer because currently, he is training in Dubai. The tournament in Doha is set to take place one week after Rotterdam Open. And Krajicek hinted that if Federer wants to play at Rotterdam, the organizers will listen to his request. “As far as I know, Roger will play in Doha, the week after Rotterdam. But if he is fit and ready to play, we will hear from him,” Richard Krajicek said. Krajicek also announced that World No.2 Rafael Nadal will play at the Rotterdam Open.
