The NASACR community has been on its toes over how the antitrust lawsuit filed by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports is going to change the sport, and now everyone has an answer. The case was settled outside the court as 99% of the sports’ base wanted, with teams getting the evergreen charters they always wanted.

Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, alongside Bob Jenkins, fought with everything they had on the line and were rewarded for it, after an ugly courtroom battle. One of the team owners who is more relieved and happy about the settlement is Team Penske Racing’s Roger Penske. He seems to be one of the many big names of the sport who wanted to fight the new charter deal but was forced to give up and sign.

So the new deal is a big relief for him and the fact that he no longer has to take the stand as a witness is a big positive as well, considering his fellow owner Richard Childress taking the stand opened a lot of floodgates. In a public statement, he called the settlement tremendous news and reminded the community that they are stronger when they are united.

Today’s settlement is tremendous news for the industry. We are stronger together as a sport, and the agreement today allows all of us to focus on what’s important: the continued growth of NASCAR.

Roger Penske said in a public statement.

He sees the settlement as the start of something big and better for the sport. It can be the point that can revolutionize the competitive industry and he expected the sport to take advantage of the momentum to build the sport more and more. The same feeling might be shared by the majority of the garage.

The sport has never been more competitive and today’s resolution provides the entire industry with a platform that strengthens our business and allows us to continue to entertain our millions of passionate fans in a unified way.

Roger Penske added.

Rick Hendrick shares the same sentiment as Roger Penske

The most successful team owner in NASACR History, Rick Hendrick also shared a public statement sharing his happiness. He believes with the settlement of the sport, as well as him who no longer has to testify in court can shift the focus to growing the sport, they invested their whole career into, more.

Millions of loyal NASCAR fans and thousands of hardworking people rely on our industry, and today’s resolution allows all of us to focus on what truly matters – the future of our sport. For more than 40 years, NASCAR racing has been my passion. I believe deeply in what we can accomplish when we work together.

Rick Hendrick said in a statement

He sees the legal drama ending as one of the most important opportunities the sport has to build something huge together. He declared that when everyone is together, the sport can grow faster to the best version it can be.

This moment presents an important opportunity to strengthen our relationships and recommit ourselves to building a collaborative and prosperous future for all stakeholders. I’m incredibly optimistic about what’s ahead. When our industry is united, there’s no limit to how far we can go or how much we can grow the sport we love.

Rick Hendrick added.

The settlement seems to have sent a new wave of optimism in the racing community about the future ahead. This might be the wake-up call everyone involved needed to get back to winning days, as the sport is desperate to get back to its peak years.
