Rohit Sharma turned 37-years-old on 30/4/24 and got to play a match on his special day. The batter has not fared well on IPL matches played on his birthday and the trend continued, but with a bizarre twist. 

Rohit Sharma has played four IPL matches on his birthday before today. On his birthdays he has scored a combined 10 runs in four innings. Many hoped he would perform on his birthday, but things didn’t go to plan as he was dismissed for only 4 runs.

This also created a bizarre record for the Indian captain, as he faced only five balls on his birthday. Sharma has played four times on his birthday since 2014 and each time he has played only five balls. Along with that, his score only increases by a single run, but bats only five balls.

Fans intrigued by incredible coincidences 

Many fans were shocked when they saw how Rohit Sharma batted on his birthday. Many joked that he would score 5 off 5 on his birthday next year, commending him for his consistency. Some were unhappy with the form he was in at the same time, but saw the funny side in it.
