Rohit Sharma captained Team India to a T20 World Cup triumph after 17 staggering years where he also finished as the leading run-scorer with the bat in his hand for Team India. With the iconic trio of Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and himself stepping down from the shortest form of the sport, there were obvious speculations about whether the three legends would continue to play in the longer formats too, given the kind of gaps between the series.
The Indian captain, however, has assured the fact that he is not done yet and doesnโt see himself retiring in the upcoming days. In a media interaction in Dallas, where fans were allowed to ask the Indian captain a handful of questions, Sharma was thrown the obvious speculation of whether he is going to continue playing in the longer formats or not.

I just said it. I don't go that far ahead. So clearly, you will be seeing me play for a while.Rohit Sharma clarified in the media interaction
It was a T20 World Cup to remember for the Hitman who finished with 257 runs in the fray, the second highest run-scorer in the latest edition of the tournament. Despite missing out on a bigger knock in the grand finale, his impeccable captaincy definitely headlined the show.
How Rohit Sharma ruled the international arcade with his gilt-edged brilliance?
With 4231 T20I runs in his entire T20I career, Rohit Sharma aces the charts of the leading run-scorers in cricketโs fastest lane. He is the only Indian player who was a part of all the nine T20 World Cups while winning two of them, one as a player with two fine displays in that tournament- one against South Africa while the other against Pakistan in the grand finale- while the other triumph came right at the twilight of his T20I career.

In the other formats of the game, the Indian captain has also shown effusive brilliance with every passing day. Ever since his promotion as an opener, Sharma completely revolutionized the art of modern-day opening. A fearless batter up front has amassed 10709 runs in ODIs while scoring 4137 runs in 59 Test matches featuring in 101 innings.
Sharma also played an instrumental role in the first two editions of the WTC, scoring 758 runs from just 19 innings in the second edition of the tournament while racking up 1094 runs from just 19 innings in the first edition of the fray.
