Aslan Karatsev vs Miomir Kecmanovic: Preview
Aslan Karatsev is a man on a mission this season. Having started the season outside Top 200, he has moved into the Top 30 swiftly. He reached the semi-final of the Australian Open as a qualifier and then won his first ATP title in Dubai.
So far, he has had a decent Clay court swing too. He reached the final of the Serbia Open and also reached the Round of 16 at Madrid. He no more is an underdog and hence would want to make a mark at Rome too.
His opponent, Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic is more of a typical clay-courter but hasn’t been able to find rhythm this season. He was knocked out in the first round both at Monte Carlo and Madrid. However, in the Serbia Open, he reached the quarter-finals where he lost to top seed Novak Djokovic.

Aslan Karatsev vs Miomir Kecmanovic: Prediction
Aslan Karatsev is getting consistent day by day. He goes in as the favorite in the match and would look to wrap things quickly. He has a very solid defense and would back the same against Kecmanovic.
As for Kecmanovic, he desperately needs a win to boost his Clay season. The youngster has a solid forehand and if he wants to given Karatsev a hard time, he would have to unleash the ‘Big serve-Forehand’ combo. Expect Karatsev to move into the second round easily.
Prediction: Karatsev to win in straight sets.
