Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan has tipped Novak Djokovic to clinch another Grand Slam title. The Brit has long been an admirer of Djokovic’s game and had even graced one of his Grand Slam matches to show his support for the Serbian.
Djokovic won his last Grand Slam title in 2023 at the US Open, defeating Daniil Medvedev in straight sets in the final. Since then he has been on the quest for an unprecedented 25th Major title. Djokovic came close to clinching another title at the 2024 Wimbledon Finals, where he lost to defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in a rematch of the previous year’s final.
I definitely think he’s got one in him, for sure. I think that’s obviously his main goal now, he’s got nothing to prove. I just think he would love to just go you know what, one more, experience that for the one last time. Who’s to say he won’t win two, three [more]?
Ronnie O’Sullivan told TNT Sports
His other noteworthy performances after his 24th Grand Slam title have been in the 2024 and 2025 Australian Open, where he reached the semifinals both time, however, he had to retire in his 2025 semifinal due to a painful hamstring injury.
While many feel Djokovic should’ve retired after the Olympic gold at Paris is 2024, also taking into consideration that he didn’t win any other titles last season, O’Sullivan believes that Djokovic could still win another Major title, perhaps two-three more. He also feels that Djokovic would love to bask in that experience one last time.
Even at the age of 37, Djokovic has shown that he can still play incredible tennis. He outplayed Alcaraz in the 2025 Australian Open quarterfinals despite his injury, and later went on to reach the Miami Open finals without dropping a set en route. He however, lost to Jakub Mensik in the finals. Djokovic is currently showing no signs of stopping, and is eager to clinch his 100th ATP title.
Ronnie O’Sullivan supported Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon last year
Seven-time World Snooker champion Ronnie O’Sullivan supported seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic from his box during his first-round Wimbledon match last year. Djokovic breezed past Vit Kopriva in straight sets on July 2 on the Center Court that day.

The Serb was full of praise after meeting the snooker champion for the first time and called O’Sullivan a “sporting great”. Djokovic admitted that he began watching snooker because of the ‘Rocket’, who also happens to be a player Djokovic’s father loves too.
Novak Djokovic is aiming for a Triple Career Golden Masters at the Monte Carlo Masters
Novak Djokovic is currently in Monte Carlo for the first clay tournament of the season. Djokovic will face Alejandro Tabilo in the opening round of the tournament. This will mark their second meeting, with the Chilean having defeated Djokovic in their last meeting which took place in the Round of 32 of the 2024 Rome Masters.

Djokovic is a two-time champion at the Monte Carlo Masters. He won his maiden title in 2013 when he defeated the eight-time defending champion Rafael Nadal in straight sets in the finals. Djokovic won his next Monte Carlo Masters title in 2015 when he defeated Tomas Berdych. Along with a 100th ATP title, Djokovic will also be eyeing a Triple Career Golden Masters with this event.
