The latest episode of NXT saw Roxanne Perez claim that she was the only one who had properly cared about NXT since her first day. Rather than representing future greatness, she was great in the present. Thus, she found it extremely disrespectful about the way she had to find out about her next challenger. This led to NXT General Ava Raine making her entrance and introducing TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace as the #1 contender.
Ava Raine then took to X and asked the NXT Women’s Champion if she liked her surprise. Perez replied to her, saying that while the NXT General Manager was trying for her downfall, it simply wasn’t going to happen. The Rock‘s daughter replied back, accusing her of dodging the question.
Jordynne Grace is now set to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Battleground. On the latest episode of the show, she reintroduced herself to the WWE Universe, reminding them of her incredible Royal Rumble performance.

Grace will be making another appearance at NXT next week. She will get a chance to showcase her skills in her first singles match in WWE against Stevie Turner.

Speaking to PWInsider, the TNA Knockouts Champion was asked to say a few words about her future opponent. Grace thought that the 22-year-old was extremely talented. She pointed out that both of them had started their careers together while they were growing up in Texas.
The duo came up in the same circle and often worked the same shows. She claimed that both of them equally loved wrestling. Further, she claimed that Roxanne Perez understood what a match of this magnitude meant for both wrestlers and their promotions.
The TNA star appreciated the opportunity she was given. She simply wanted more people to see her work. The Juggernaut had wrestled for many years and wanted to be acknowledged for her work. More importantly, Grace wanted the audience to see her transformation over the years and recognize her as a wrestling artist.
