IPL 2021: Who will win today’s match? – RR vs PBKS, Match 4

The fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) sees the Rajasthan Royals (RR) taking on the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both sides underachieved last season despite looking excellent in patches and this year they would strive for consistency in order to challenge the big guns in the tournament for the title which has been eluding them for a very long time.

Both teams made quite a few changes at the auction ahead of this year’s tournament, as they acquired some top-notch cricketers to address issues with their squad. The teams also made other changes like Punjab changing their name, logo and kit while RR changed their captain and appointed Sanju Samson while also appointing Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara as the Director of Cricket.

On that note, we predict who would come up trumps in today’s match.

Who will win today’s IPL match: RR vs PBKS

Both sides would feel they have done enough at the auction to challenge for the title this year, although nobody really has touted them as favorites. Both teams suffered from inconsistency last season and hence, it becomes all the more difficult to predict who the winner might be.

Punjab Kings would feel they have a slight edge over their opponents due to the wealth of talent that they already had and the new signings like Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith which has strengthened their bowling which wasn’t up to the mark last year. RR would also be without their bowling ace Jofra Archer and that would greatly affect their bowling even as the Indian bowling attack continues to remain inexperienced. All of these could lead to PBKS being favourites but on the day, anything could happen.

Prediction: Punjab Kings to win.
