Russell Wilson has landed in some trouble just as he starts looking into his free agency options. A notable X account claimed that the veteran quarterback was in touch with notorious convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
While everyone was busy chatting about Sydney Sweeney, the Super Bowl, and Tom Brady’s latest squeeze, ML Football posted a tweet that shook the internet. The admin posted a screenshot of a recently uncovered page from the Epstein Files that featured a very familiar name.
It was none other than Russell Wilson. According to the document, Wilson wanted to purchase a plane owned by Epstein when the Pro Bowl signal caller was still in Seattle. He allegedly took photos with his girlfriend and later wife, Ciara.
Wilson quickly noticed the tweet and denied having any ties to Epstein. That being said, he admitted that someone tried to sell him a plane back in the day.
Not TODAY satan!

Steve Tisch (co-owner of the Giants), Josh Harris (owner of the Commanders), and Woody Johnson (owner of the Jets) have also been mentioned in the documents. However, all three have denied ever meeting Epstein.
Russell Wilson shares his plans for the future
When Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Giants, he did so under the premise that he would be starting week in and week out in the Big Apple. Brian Daboll handed Wilson the QB1 role. However, he failed to leave a positive impression. Daboll replaced him with rookie Jaxson Dart.

The 37-year-old finished his forgettable season with 69 of 119 completed passes (58.0%) for 831 yards and three touchdowns. The Giants went 4-13, and Daboll was fired. They did discover their quarterback of the future in Dart. His swashbuckling style of play ignited a renewed optimism among fans.
It also meant that Wilson won’t get many chances, even in the new regime. Most will give up, but not Wilson. He’s willing to give it another shot. If the Giants don’t give him first-team opportunities, then he’ll look for another team in free agency.
I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas. I want to do that again and just be ready to rock and roll and be as healthy as possible and be able to play ball.

Russell Wilson praises Sam Darnold for showing resiliency
Wilson might not be as outgoing as his teammate Jameis Winston, but he’s always ready to cheer on and support his fellow athletes. Recently, he showered Sam Darnold with praise for leading the Seahawks to a victory in the NFC Championship game.
Sam Darnold’s comeback story over the past 2 years has been one of the most inspirational things to watch! Cool seeing him overcome!!! Congrats, bro. Hope you win it!

Go Hawks
Darnold was written off by football pundits when he bounced around from the Jets to the Panthers, 49ers, Vikings, and finally the Seahawks. He was labeled a bust until the former first-rounder dragged the Vikings into the playoffs in 2024.
Seattle gave him a shot, and he repaid their trust by helping them win the conference title. The Seahawks are back in the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2014 season. Just a year earlier, Seattle was buzzing with a carnival-like energy as the Seahawks celebrated their first-ever Super Bowl victory, led by none other than quarterback Russell Wilson.

Wilson left the Seahawks after the 2021 season. He spent a couple of years in Denver before moving to New York.
