Russell Wilson has had a rough couple of years in the NFL. From his unsuccessful tenure and disrespectful sendoff from the Broncos to signing on a one-year veteran minimum with the Pittsburgh Steelers, his career has seen better days. However, in one respect, he is content, and that is in terms of his family life.
Russell Wilson is a devout Christian and his marriage with Ciara is one that does not get enough credit. The couple continues to share a strong bond, which is a commonly known fact, but what a lot of people do not know is the role Peyton Manning had in helping him come up with a creative plan to propose.
Wilson revealed on Not Just Football with Cam Heyward that he came up with the plan just a day ahead of the Pro Bowl.
In 2015, I went to the Pro Bowl and ended up taking Ciara. It’s the first day Peyton was talking, whoever’s talking. They said you know this year whoever wins the Pro Bowl, gets X amount of dollars, but whoever wins the MVP, gets two flights anywhere in the world that you want to go and I’m like I’m going to win this. In my head, I was like I’m going to ask her to marry me.

The quarterback proceeded to take his soon-to-be wife to Seychelles, a destination that she had been yearning to visit. Despite considering other places to visit, Wilson decided to propose there. With this one trip, he was able to fulfill her dreams of visiting Seychelles and being proposed to in a stunning backdrop.
Although it has nearly been a decade since they got married, Wilson and Ciara share a common passion for traveling and exploring new places. It is harder for them to make the time to take frequent trips considering their busy schedules, but these trips serve as much-needed getaways for them to refresh, rejuvenate, and keep the spark alive in their relationship.
The couple now has four children, Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess from their marriage, and Future Zahir, who was born to Ciara during her relationship with ex-fiance Future. The quarterback has been a role model to his stepson and actively posts videos of them training together.
