American former football safety Ryan Clark stated that the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles would be a test to Lamar Jackson to prove his NFL MVP worth. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback along with Jared Goff, Josh Allen, and running backs Saquon Barkley, and Derrick Henry, are in the thick of the igniting MVP race.

The Baltimore Ravens (8-4) suffered some major losses and are currently second to Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. The Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) are almost safe atop the NFC East. The intra-conference game will take place on the 1st of December at the M&T Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.

Remarkably, Jackson only has three interceptions so far in the season. The Ravens QB in his seventh season is known for his dual-threat abilities, recording three rushing touchdowns from 599 yards.

In an appearance on First Take by ESPN, Ryan Clark expressed his thoughts on Jackson. Clark indicated that Jackson belongs to one of the top three quarterbacks in the AFC who haven’t won a ring yet.

This is the Lamar Jackson MVP game… Lamar Jackson is playing the best football at the position right now. This is the game that Lamar Jackson has to go on and prove it. You are playing against the team has the better defense than yours. You are playing against the team that has the running back comparable to you… Now, you are playing the team that’s supposed to have more than what you have. Go out and prove you’re the best player in the league.

Ryan Clark said

The Philadelphia Eagles lead the league with the lowest amount yards allowed per game with 274.6. Similarly, Clark also noted that the teams even cancel out in terms of running backs.

Both Barkley and Henry are on pace to break the single-season rushing yards. Fueled by these arguments, Clark admitted that he thinks this is Lamar Jackson’s MVP game.

Just getting better and better at everything that he was already good at. Without getting in a long dissertation about him, I just think he’s a very special player.

Vic Fangio said on Wednesday

Last year, Fangio made a similar point when his Miami Dolphins played the Ravens. In the speech then, Fangio compared Jackson to Michael Vick. He went on to praise Jackson while highlighting the Ravens’ management’s good decision.

He’s unlike anybody else. The only other player that’s been like him in the last 50 years is Michael Vick. He’s a tremendous player. Kudos to [former Ravens GM] Ozzie [Newsome] and [current Ravens GM] Eric [DeCosta] for picking him. Thirty-one other teams that passed him by are kicking themselves. He’s really improved over the years. Dynamic with the ball. Good passer. He makes their offense go.

The Eagles are coming off a seven-game winning streak while the Ravens only got back on their feet after a win against the Los Angeles Chargers.
