With Week 5 of Sunday Night Football approaching one matchup that fans and the media will have an extra eye on is the Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans game. More importantly, how Josh Allen fares against his old teammate Stefon Diggs in stats as well as in the win-loss column.
Both stars have so far dismissed any ill feelings, but former Super Bowl champion Ryan Clark has something to say about it. In the latest edition of First Take, former defensive stalwart Clark was brought in to speak about everything in the NFL.
When talking about this particular game, host Stephen A. Smith asked Clark this;
To this Ryan Clark answered;
The former undrafted safety added that Stefon Diggs will be looking to show that he was the reason Allen has had his success. As he felt he was undermined despite his contributions.
Stephen A. Smith: "Somebody has no questions about your game… but they have questions about your temperament, about your character… you trying to tell me you wouldn't take that personal?"

Ryan Clark also added that in the last game, the Buffalo Bills showed that they lack a true No. 1 wide receiver who can break the opponents’ secondary. Josh Allen had that in Diggs during their four years together. Then the Bills organization prioritizing their quarterback was not how he wanted it.
The two-time All-Pro will be looking to show that his former team was wrong in not making him the alpha dog. The only way he can do that is to make sure he ends up with good numbers and leads his Houston Texans to a win.
Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs had a brilliant but tumultuous time together
The Buffalo Bills sent four draft picks to acquire Stefon Diggs ahead of the 2020 season. Their reason was simple: they needed a stud wide receiver to help their young quarterback develop. That did happen as the soon-to-be 31-year-old had the best season of his career. He continued that with another two 1000+ yard seasons.
But towards the end of that third season, cracks in their relationship started to appear. In their Divisional-round playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Diggs had a not-so-friendly conversation with Allen. That set the tone for what would be the defining part of Diggs’ time in Buffalo. Last season, those cracks grew as Stefon Diggs’ demeanor showed something wasn’t right.
He tried to keep it professional and ended up with another 1,000-yard season. But it was evident all the more that their relationship had soured. All of that led to the trade that has him now donning a Texans uniform. They might not want to talk about it, but it is clear that neither of them were happy.
