Ryan Garcia‘s antics have been one of the biggest highlights of the pre-build for the Devin Haney fight. This was seen in his spree of erratic social media posts. Several concerns were raised because of this, and many people believed that the fight might get canceled. However, Garcia appears to be okay now, and the fight hasn’t been called off. Furthermore, KingRy recently spoke about his battles with mental health during an interview with DAZN. 

Both fighters appeared in the DAZN special titled ‘Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia | 40 Days’ episode 2. Subsequently, they spoke about their journey as boxers and gave insights into their early lives. As such, Garcia spoke about how he became a viral boxer on Instagram at a young age. He also spoke about how overwhelming the experience was for him.

KingRy then stated that every post he uploaded would get about a million likes. The experience was quite overwhelming for the young boxer, who began to feel like a ‘Bonafide star’ which started his struggles with his mental health. Garcia also revealed that he deals with this because ‘doubts’ always exist, but he beats down the doubts.

It looks like Ryan Garcia has been battling both inside and outside the ring. He asserted that he has approached both battles with the same mentality of emerging victorious. KingRy also believes that God rebuilds him whenever he has to face ‘doubts’ and that is why he emerges stronger. 

Garcia spoke about his loss against Gervonta Davis 

The younger boxer also spoke about his first professional loss against Gervonta Davis in April 2023. Garcia said that he wanted to do something for boxing because of the state it was in at the time. Hence, he took the Davis fight.

KingRy then revealed the struggles he had during the pre-buildup of the fight. Garcia has previously spoken about how Davis’s team had complicated the negotiations for the fight. However, he still went through it while people were doubting his performance.

Garcia stated that he knew he was going to lose but still felt at peace after losing. According to the boxer, his faith in God created a spiritual connection allowing him to face and overcome adversity. In doing so, he came out a better version of himslef.
