Ryan Hall calls out Korean Zombie, irritated with ‘being ignored’

Ryan “The Wizard” Hall

“Ryan ‘The Wizard’ Hall” is ready to fight some tough competitors. It seemed as if the former Ultimate Fighter winner and grappling champion is having a bit of trouble securing himself a bout with a ranked fighter. According to his own admission, list of ranked fighters that are unwilling to fight him keeps on growing.

“I am unbeaten and have won each of my fights in one-sided fashion. The narrative that I have or ever would pull out of a fight is false. I signed and trained to fight two times this year, and both fell out at great expense to myself. I am not some kind of trained monkey or gimmick who is waiting around to do one-offs against whatever grappling-based fighter people happen to be excited about at a given time. I want the best. Period. I believe that my results justify nothing less.”

Hall is currently undefeated in the UFC and is on a 4 fight win streak. His most recent fight was scheduled on UFC Vegas 8 against “Ricardo Lamas” which was cancelled due to Hall having to pull out because of an injury.

Ryan has expressed his desire to fight a ranked opponent on multiple occasion and let out his frustration with not getting the opportunity. “We came here to fight the best and have been consistently avoided,” Hall said to MMA Fighting.

He was not stopping there. Hall went on and added, “It’s at a point where the UFC either needs to force the fighters ahead of me to accept or pay me to retire and leave them in peace. Maybe they can take up a collection.” He remarked, “These ‘ranked fighters’ are making Sean Shelby’s job impossible.”

Ryan Hall challenges the Korean Zombie

Chan Sung Jung, aka, The Korean Zombie

Ryan Hall took to social media and called out the one man he thinks has the “stones to step up”. Hall, on an Instagram post, called out “The Korean Zombie” believing he will not avoid a meaningful challenge.

Despite Korean Zombie coming off as a loss to “Brian Ortega” in his last bout, Halls sees him as a potential opponent and fighting the former title contender’s will certainly provide him with the challenge he wants.

Ryan Hall’s Instagram post

Hall’s manager says he is ready to fight and has been active the past 12 months, having his last fight a year ago in the Octagon. “Ryan is coming after the rankings,” said Hall’s manager Nima Safapour and added “Someone either steps up finally or they get called out for running. Their choice but he needs a fight and his goal is to fight three times in 2021. He is focused on getting the title.” Nima told MMA Fighting.

As of now, Zombie has not responded but we can only hope. Despite coming off a loss, Zombie is a fan favourite and always puts on a show. What do you guys think? Will this be the challenge that undefeated Hall is itching for?
