Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ryan Reaves gave the NHL fans an entertaining Wednesday night other than the team’s 4-3 win over the Capitals. The fans present in the Washington arena saw a sight that the NHL fans had never seen before.

While Reaves is known for his on-ice fights, Wednesday proved to be a bit different. He literally re-decorated the Capital One Arena as he tore a chunk of Lexus ad sticker from the walls.

During the first period, Ryan Reaves took a hit at Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson, and in the process, ripped out a piece of the ad board. However, that itself wasn’t funny.

Moments later Reaves was seen skating on the ice, flapping the sticker from his rear end. Apparently, when both Carlson and Reaves collided near the wall, the forward’s gear tore a part of the board ad and it stuck with him.

Latter on realizing he quickly took the ad sticker off and threw it on the ice. This incident created a light-hearted moment not only for the fans but for both the teams too. Reaves shared a hearty laugh with his teammates on the bench.

Sports commentator Joe Beninati commented hilariously, saying, “Hey, wait a minute, somebody call the advertising department.” While Craig Laughlin added, “He’s using a parachute to work on his skating.

However, his surprising advertising strategy for Lexus took everyone off guard. Fans present in the arena and even on social media shared a hearty laugh. One X user commented, “Someone get that off him,” while another said, “Story of his leaf career.” Check more reactions below:

This was not the only thing Ryan Reaves got into the spotlight for within 24 hours. He accidentally kicked his linemate, Pontus Holmberg in the chest. It was an accident as he tried to spin and lost balance, resulting in a horrifying accident.

Regardless, these two incidents are excellent examples of how silly and how serious some accidents can be. While some are to laugh at, some can prove to be fatal despite it being unintentional or accidental.
