WrestleMania is the biggest spectacle in the sports entertainment industry. Over the years, it has taken place in numerous cities across the US, but the event has never been held outside the country. In recent years, however, WWE has frequently teased the idea of hosting WrestleMania on international soil. Among the most vocal advocates is London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who appears eager to bring WrestleMania to London.
Speaking with CNBC’s Tania Bryer, Sadiq Khan revealed that he was in ongoing discussions with Triple H about bringing WrestleMania to London. He added that if it happens, it would mark a major turning point in the illustrious history of The Show of Shows. The Mayor believes London is the sporting capital of the world, and if WrestleMania is to go international, the city is the obvious choice.
I’d love for WrestleMania to come to London, Triple H if you’re watching, we want WrestleMania to come to London. If WrestleMania came to London, my message to the team there is that we wouldn’t just have a great weekend, we’d have a festival, of you know, legends in WrestleMania coming to London, current stars, but also future stars as a well, it will open a completely new market for them as well.

Moreover, Khan stated that hosting WrestleMania would not only be a tremendous opportunity for London but also a refreshing change for WWE programming. He believed the city offered everything WWE needs to deliver an unforgettable weekend for the Super Bowl of Wrestling.
Additionally, if WrestleMania were to take place in the UK, WWE could potentially set its sights on the iconic Wembley Stadium. Furthermore, UK fans are among the most passionate wrestling supporters in the world.
The WWE Universe there has long been campaigning for one of the Big Four PLEs to be held in their country. In 2023, WWE legend John Cena teased the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to London, but that promise has yet to materialize. That said, WWE has not yet finalized the location for next year’s WrestleMania.
WWE is likely to replicate WrestleMania 41’s entire weekend for WrestleMania 42
WWE found itself in hot water after the decision to relocate WrestleMania 42 from New Orleans—a move that sparked controversy among fans who were eagerly anticipating The Show of Shows in the Big Easy. The situation escalated further when reports emerged suggesting that WWE is considering bringing The Showcase of the Immortals back to Las Vegas for a second consecutive year.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE and TKO are aiming to replicate the WrestleMania 41 weekend experience for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. This includes major events such as the Hall of Fame ceremony, Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, and WWE’s popular World Fest. The primary goal is to match—or even surpass—the financial impact achieved this year.
WWE & TKO are planning to replicate WrestleMania 41’s entire weekend layout for WM 42. They plan on using the same venues like Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena.

Additionally, WWE reportedly plans to use the same venues for its shows, aiming to recreate the atmosphere and excitement fans experienced leading up to WrestleMania 41. However, it’s essential to note that WrestleMania 41 was widely viewed as underwhelming and has since become a contentious topic among fans. As a result, much of the WWE Universe is actively opposing the idea of repeating the same formula.
Saudi Arabia is also in the running to host WrestleMania in the coming years
Saudi Arabia has become one of WWE’s premier international locations for hosting major events. As part of their 10-year partnership with the Kingdom, the company holds two shows there annually. However, Saudi Arabia is now reportedly looking to take things a step further by hosting WrestleMania in the coming years.

According to Fightful, WWE is likely to host a WrestleMania event in Saudi Arabia in the coming years, but with a unique twist. The report suggests that the show would take place later in the year, around October or November, and would be branded as Super WrestleMania.
A longtime company employee believed that if WWE does run WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia, it will be later in a year and be called along the lines of ‘Super WrestleMania’.

WWE is also set to host next year’s Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the company is rumored to hold two more Premium Live Events in the Kingdom in 2025. Given this packed schedule, it’s speculated that WWE could be targeting 2028 for the rumored Super WrestleMania event in Saudi Arabia.
