UFC Vegas 34: Saidyokub Kakhramonov choked out Trevin Jones to get the victory

The Bantamweight contest of UFC Vegas 34 marks the fight between Trevin Jones (13-6-0, 1NC) and the debutant Saidyokub Kakhramonov (8-2-0). Jones is stepping into this fight with his win against Mario Bautista on UFC 259 with a second-round KO.

Kakhramonov is making his UFC debut with this fight at UFC Vegas 34, he is coming into this fight with two consecutive wins with his last win coming against Tycen Lynn on CFFC 92.

Round 1: Kakhramonov and Jones stayed heavyweight on the clinching game, Kakhramonov used a beautiful Judo throw to take the fight to the ground, he secured a tight guillotine but Jones slipped out of it. The rest of the fight went down in the clinch with Jones having the more dominant position for the majority of the time.

Round 2: Kakhramonov was forced to engage in the cage by Jones, but he broke free and stunned Jones with a big right hand, Kakhramonov unleashed a barrage of strikes on Jones and he was on shaky legs, Jones kept defending himself and he regained focus to secure a takedown and finish the round on the top.

Round 3- The gameplan from Jones was pretty clear, he was looking for the clinches and takedowns, he managed to engage in a clinch and tried a couple of takedowns but Kakhramonov was getting right back on his feet. Jones managed to keep Kakhramonov engaged in the clinch but he wasn’t making any progress there, Kakhramonov broke free and squeezed in submission to drop Jones unconscious.

Result– Saidyokub Kakhramonov won via guillotine choke in round number 3.
