Ricochet and Samantha Irvin are one of the most popular wrestling couples in the industry. They often express their love openly, and fans adore them. Now, after The One & Only’s unfortunate departure from WWE, his fiancée sent a two-word message to him on social media.

The 35-year-old star took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself in a dashing suit. Samantha Irvin also shared the same picture on her stories with a two-word message saying, “My Everything.” Despite not working for the same company, their love for each other will always stay the same. Ricochet‘s WWE contract expired on July 1, making him a free agent.

Speaking about his last appearance, Ilja Dragunov squared off against the Bron Breakker on the June 10 episode of Raw. After the former NXT Champion won, he decided to destroy The Mad Dragon. However, Ricochet halted his plan when he jumped out of nowhere, saving Dragunov in the process. The night didn’t end well for him, though, as Breakker once again wreaked havoc and seriously injured him.

Just a few days ago, he was moved to the Alumni Superstars section on WWE’s site. As of now, nothing is confirmed about his next move, but fans are predicting that he could prove his worth in promotions like AEW and TNA. It will be intriguing to see where the charismatic high-flyer ends up wrestling.

Ricochet expected to join AEW after his WWE contract expired as per the reports

AEW is currently the second-most successful wrestling promotion and a direct competitor to WWE. Many wrestlers have transitioned to the Jacksonville-based company after leaving WWE. Ricochet is expected to do the same, according to some reports.

According to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select, after his contract expired, sources from both companies knew that he might join AEW. However, at least for now, the plan is not for him to be Will Ospreay‘s opponent for AEW All-In. Speaking about Ospreay, The Aerial Assassin openly admitted that WWE was misusing him and expressed a desire for him to join its rival company.

Ricochet has had successful runs in promotions like Dragon Gate, NJPW, and Lucha Underground. Despite not being a main-event-caliber superstar, his WWE run also wasn’t bad. He won the NXT North American Title, the Intercontinental Title, the United States Title, and most recently, the Speed Title as well.
