SummerSlam is going to be a special night for many stars. It is going to be a historic event in a jam-packed Cleveland Browns Stadium. Sami Zayn is going to be defending his Intercontinental Championship at the show against Bron Breakker. Additionally, this will mark Zayn’s first bout at the second-biggest WWE event of the year.

Speaking with Kevin Tall of Wrestling Inc., the Intercontinental Champion found it hilarious and quite interesting that he has never been a part of SummerSlam in his career. Sami Zayn said that although he has got a good WrestleMania track record and has been signed with WWE for a decade now, many of his fans are unaware of the fact that he has never competed at the Biggest Party of Summer.

I’ve had a really good WrestleMania track record, if you look back at all my WrestleMania’s, especially over the last three years. But if you go back my entire career, I’ve had a great WrestleMania track record. SummerSlam, I’ve never even been on the show.

Moreover, Zayn added that he once had a match at SummerSlam in 2016 where he faced The Dudley Boyz by teaming up with Neville. It was on the pre-show, so it technically doesn’t count. However, he is amped up to make his event debut at the aforementioned show. The Underdog from the Underground looks forward to a packed show with 50,000 members of the WWE Universe. He feels like there is a huge responsibility on himself to deliver at the event.

Sami will be facing the rising star Bron Breakker. The latter is also making his SummerSlam debut. They have been involved in a heated feud leading up to the event. The Dawg of WWE is on a path of destruction, and it goes through the Intercontinental Champion next Saturday. With Zayn already having a win over the former NXT Champion, Breakker will certainly be walking into a must-win situation.

Sami Zayn praised Bron Breakker ahead of their clash at SummerSlam

Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker have worked together on-screen for more than a month now. With that said, they have mutual respect for each other behind the scenes. Speaking of that, the Intercontinental Champion recently praised the Dawg of WWE ahead of SummerSlam.

Speaking with Wrestling Inc., Zayn said that Breakker’s athleticism is unparalleled. His abilities are amazing, and he has been presented as the next big thing on Raw. Therefore, Sami called him a torchbearer for WWE in the years to come.

Breakker especially. Bron has definitely been packaged and presented, and he definitely holds up his end of the bargain when it comes to it, but just sort of this intense athletic freak of nature.

Moreover, the Underdog from the Underground also praised Ilja Dragunov for his performance on the main roster. He claimed that both young stars are going to dominate WWE in four to five years. Hence, only time will tell how the intertwined storylines of the three stars will culminate in the coming weeks.
