Gunther walked in and out of Bash in Berlin as the World Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Randy Orton in a stellar match to close out the show. However, following his win, there was one question, and that was who was next in line to face the Ring General. One man answered this call and challenged the latter for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The man of the hour is Sami Zayn, who returned this week on Raw. He came back and confronted Gunther to ask for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. The Austrian wrestler was quick in denying him the title shot. However, the Underdog from the Underground lashed out at the World Champion by boasting and gloating about himself.

As Gunther walked out of the ring, Zayn claimed that even if he is declining the challenge now, the former should know that he is coming after him and the world title. Then, the former Bloodline member reminded Gunther that he was the one who ended his 600+ day title reign. The World Heavyweight Champion looked back for a second before walking straight to the back.

Zayn’s return on Raw was highly unexpected this week. A few weeks ago, he suffered a significant loss against Bron Breakker and has been out of action ever since. Then, it was revealed by the popular star himself that he has been undergoing stem cell therapy. Nonetheless, it seems he is calling his shot against the King of the Ring at Bad Blood in Atlanta.

Gunther talked about his win against Randy Orton

Gunther and Randy Orton put on a hell of a show at Bash in Berlin. They had fought in a brutal back-and-forth encounter where The Ring General came out victorious at the end. Following the win, the World Heavyweight Champion talked about this huge moment and how it has motivated him for the challenges yet to come in his reign.

Speaking on Gorilla Position, the 37-year-old star said that competing with The Viper was an honor for him. He called Orton one of the greatest of all time. The Austrian Superstar added that to be able to beat such a megastar in Berlin was a huge achievement. Therefore, this match has put a seal of approval on his title reign.

But in reality, Randy’s the man. He’s one of the greatest of all time, an absolute legend in our business. To be out there with him, to be able to beat him at that stage, it’s a bit of a stamp of approval for myself.

Furthermore, this was the first title defense of the King of the Ring. He is expected to have a longer reign, similar to his record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign. Needless to say, Gunther has got a huge target on his back, as almost every top star is after him and his championship.
