“Sancho is the best young player bar none” claims former United legend Rio Ferdinand

“Sancho is the best young player bar none” claims former United legend Rio Ferdinand

Sancho United

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has advised United to continue the pursuit Jadon Sancho’s transfer. Rio also believes Sancho is the best young player in the world right now. Jadon has been Manchester United’s top transfer target for this summer’s transfer window. United’s manager Ole is trying to add more quality to his squad.

However Borussia Dortmund’s Michael Zorc has claimed that Jadon Sancho is not for sale. He also stated that the winger would not be leaving before the end of 2020-2021 season. Despite the comments from Zorc, Manchester United have not given up on their transfer target.

Ferdinand on Jadon Sancho

In an interview with BBC radio Rio said, “He is fantastic. If he does come he’ll be an added value in terms of quality, no doubt. Manchester United need top players who are going to have an effect on their first XI and I think Jadon Sancho falls into that category. If you look at successful Man Utd sides over the years, successful periods, there were players fighting for every position and if you substitute one out and you brought one in there was no change in the quality or the output.”

Manchester United has struggled since the retirement of their legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Despite appointing world-class mangers like Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, united have failed to reach their high standards in football.

Rio Ferdinand feels Ole Gunnar Solskjær is doing a commendable job at rebuilding United. Ferdinand also added, “Attacking, vibrant football. That’s been the most pleasing point. He’s ticked a box in terms of getting the team back into the Champions League, which I think would have been his remit at the beginning when he got his hands on the reins.”

Currently Ole is trying to lift his first silverware for United in Europa league in the managerial role. The Red devils face Spanish club Seville in semifinals of the Europa League.
