Sanju Samson, the star Indian wicket-keeper batter has always remained the point of discussion within the Indian fans. He has not received consistent chances in the Indian colors. Moreover, whenever he has the chance, he has not stamped his authority on his place.

He made his T20I debut for India in 2015 and has played over 250 T20s so far in his career (Domestic and International. However, he has not stamped his authority on the T20 team and replicated his performances from IPL in national colors.

Samson has faced many questions for not cementing his place in the Indian T20 team. However, he is confident that he can do it soon.

The last 3-4 months have been the best of my career. Being part of the World Cup team is like a dream come true something I desired 3-4 years ago. My wish was to play in my last ODI World Cup. However, it was only after joining the team and winning the Twenty20 World Cup that I realized it wasn't an easy task. But in the last series against Sri Lanka, I didn't perform as expected.

Samson has played just 30 T20Is since 2015. So, he will definitely want to cement his place in the side with the 2026 T20 World Cup coming up in India.

Sanju Samson has received a lot of support from his fans

Samson, despite his inconsistent performances in national colors, has received a lot of support and backing from his fans. The fans have always taken to social media to protest against the team management’s decision to keep Samson away from the team. Despite Samson failing to perform in limited opportunities, the fans have always supported him.

He failed yet again in the recent 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav gave him a chance to play in the two T20Is. Samson scored a duck in one game while opening the innings and scored another duck while batting at number 3. He has not scored in 3 out of his last 5 T20I games.

Samson has faced a lot of trolling for not performing in the series against Sri Lanka despite getting opportunities. In the IPL, while leading the Rajasthan Royals, Samson scores fluently and brings out his best while batting at number 3. However, he has yet to replicate those numbers while playing for India. This non-conversion has placed his international career in jeopardy.
