At AEW Double or Nothing, Mercedes Moné defeated Willow Nightingale and became the AEW TBS Champion. She finally got her revenge on the same opponent who not only beat her but also injured her last year. However, with this title win, the CEO certainly has a target on her back. One of the people who immediately expressed her desire to face Mone was Saraya Bevis.
Ahead of her match at AEW Double or Nothing, Mercedes Moné gave an interview to the NY Post. When asked if she would be comfortable working with Saraya Bevis, the CEO stated that she was more than ready to square off against her. After noticing her comments about a potential future match, the formerly known Paige stated that she had been waiting for this opportunity for more than six years.
Wrestling fans have been fantasizing about this particular match since Saraya’s return in 2022. Both wrestlers share history, as six years ago, the British wrestler suffered a career-threatening injury at the hands of Moné at a WWE event. After her return to wrestling, the 31-year-old star became the AEW Women’s World Champion on August 27 last year.

Moné expressed excitement about the matchup but stated that the rivalry needed to mean more than just an injury angle. After becoming the new TBS Champion on her in-ring debut, fans can expect an exciting feud between the two soon.
Saraya Bevis seemed excited about the idea of having mixed tag team titles
During the AEW Double or Nothing post-show press conference, Tony Khan mentioned that he was looking forward to introducing some new AEW titles. One of them was the mixed tag team titles, where male and female wrestlers could compete together. After the announcement, AEW wrestler Zak Knight sent a message to his sister Saraya.
The 32-year-old star messaged him, expressing that it was a good idea to team up and win the titles. Bevis quickly replied to him and said they were ready to capture the titles if the idea indeed came to reality. Although the formerly know Paige has won the world title in her AEW tenure, interestingly there are no women’s tag team titles available in the company.

WWE had introduced the same concept of mixed tag team wrestling, where male and female superstars engaged in fun battles. However, the winners of the 2018 Mixed Match Challenge, R-Truth and Carmella, didn’t win any titles. Instead, they earned the No. 30 spot in their respective Royal Rumble matches and an all-expenses-paid vacation.
