It appears golf isn’t suiting New York Jets’ star Sauce Gardner as he hoped for. With the mandatory minicamp now over, the offseason program has ended, giving the athletes time to engage in some other activities as they prepare for the preseason. 

The cornerback has been utilizing this time playing golf and it seemed to have going quite well as he kept on posting taking swings on the golf course on X. He even claimed to be addicted to the sport as his skills improved. However, on Wednesday, Gardner revealed his true thoughts and the crisis he has been facing swinging a golf club. 

Golfing also very expensive. Paying $54.99 for some golf balls just to play 18 holes and lose them all.

The 23-year-old isn’t known for being too interactive on social media, but since he started playing golf not only has he been posting a lot but also responding to fans commenting on his game. Some have been giving him tips and suggestions to bring him A-game, while the cornerback learns to swing the golf club by watching PGA-tour videos.

But his new profound love for golf hasn’t distracted the NFL star cornerback from his preparations to overpower his opponents and target the opposing receivers in the upcoming season, where he is also excited about having six out of eleven prime-time games.

Sauce Gardner has been following PGA’s YouTube channel since he started spending time on the golf course. While it appears he doesn’t need anyone else’s praise considering his recent social media posts, he sure has caught the eyes of golf professionals as well.

Bryson DeChambeau, who recently won his second U.S. Open title, approached the NFL star on social media telling him he could appear on the channel for a lesson, if he wanted to. He also received feedback on how to improve his game. 

Although the cornerback doesn’t want to stop playing golf, he isn’t planning to leave his day job for a career switch, as he assured a fan on social media. He shared how he doesn’t want football to be his only skill and wants to be known as a man of many talents.
