Bronny James is continuing to prove to everyone why he was drafted into the NBA. Although the Los Angeles Lakers and the rookie guard himself faced heavy criticism for being an ‘unworthy’ pick in the NBA Draft, Bronny James’ recent explosive performances in the G-League have put everyone on notice. And no one could be prouder of this moment than Mama James herself, Savannah James.
On Friday, Bronny James recorded perhaps his best performance yet, with a monster 31-point scoring night while dishing out some major highlights. One of the best highlights of the night came in the 3rd quarter when Bronny James put the exclamation mark on his performance, crossing up a defender to finish with a brutal poster at the rim.

As the internet started to take notice of the performance by Bronny James, his biggest fan immediately took to social media to show her support. Savannah James posted a story on Instagram of the highlight poster by her son with the caption, “Oh, so that’s what we on?! Bet!!”
Bronny James finished the night with 31 points on 10-22 shooting from the field, with 3 assists and 5 made three-pointers. His James family genes were on full display as he scored from all around the floor, with an array of lob finishes, drives to the rim, cuts and outside shooting. He continues to impress everyone who doubted his potential with strong performances across the board in the G-League.
Bronny James continues to impress in G-League
Just a day after Bronny James recorded minutes on the floor for the Lakers in their crushing victory over the Boston Celtics, he returned to the G-League, where he continues to make progress, turning into a reliable role player on an NBA Roster.
For the South Bay Lakers, James has turned into a star on the offensive end of the floor. Although he faced struggles early in his NBA Career, with a number of disappointing performances in the G-League as well. Since then, however, he has picked up steam, putting up impressive averages across the board.
So far, Bronny James has averaged 23.0 points, 4.7 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals on 45.8 3P% on 8.0 3PA in the G-League. More importantly, James has been a positive for the South Bay Lakers in most games. The team is a plus 16 with him on the court and minus 19 with him on the bench, which goes to show his impact on the floor.
Although his role with the Los Angeles Lakers has been limited to just garbage time minutes from the bench, he is rapidly making a case for Lakers HC JJ Redick to insert him back into the rotation with performances such as Friday nights.
