Marcus Morris Sr with a clutch three vs the Los Angeles Lakers
Marcus Morris Sr. nailed a clutch three-pointer to give the Los Angeles Clippers a lead during the final seconds of the game. Then Reggie Jackson came up clutch for another layup and another go-ahead. It was enough for the Clippers to hold on for the one-point win against the arch-rivals Los Angeles Lakers. Clippers beat the Lakers 111-110 at the Crypto.com arena on Thursday night.
Although the game was missing the shine and luster of big stars, the game still delivered in terms of the experience. The game went down to the wire with five lead changes in the last 63 seconds. However, it was not quite the scene the entire game. The Clippers led the Lakers by as much as 17 points during the 3rd quarter. The Lakers then tried to make a run and a comeback, falling short by one point.

The Battle of LA today might not be what it used to be just two years ago. Both the teams had their biggest stars missing. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are unavailable for the Clippers owing to injuries. LeBron James is out to sore left knee for the Lakers. Clippers have been showing a lot of heart and are 27-27 for the season with their stars out for a majority of the time.
Clippers shot efficiently from the field, going 51% overall from the field and 43% from the three-point range in the game. The veteran Marcus Morris Sr. led the scoring with 29 points, going 6-7 from the three. Reggie Jackson and Serge Ibaka chipped in with 25 points and 20 points respectively. Marcus Morris Sr. also had a crucial three-pointer among the six that he made.

Marcus Morris Sr. with Clutch Heroics
The Clippers at one point had almost blown away the game after leading by 17 points once in the game. But then, in the 4th Quarter, Clippers were trailing 106-108. With less than 30 seconds remaining in the game, Marcus Morris Sr. nailed a corner three-pointer to give the Clippers a one-point lead. The play ended as 18 seconds remained on the clock.
The Lakers were able to score to go back up by one as the Lakers led 110-109. Reggie Jackson put the final touches with a driving layup with 4.1 seconds remaining.
