Tom Brady has officially entered the world of broadcasting, as he called his career’s first regular season game for the Dallas Cowboys’ opening game against the Cleveland Browns. However, it seems he got more criticism than the players over his nonchalant and apathetic style in the Fox Sports broadcasting booth.
It happened moments before the half when the Cowboys were on the verge of making history by tying with the NFL record in distance with a 66-yard kick. However, it later turned into a penalty and pushed back them to a 71-yard attempt for which kicker Brandon Aubrey lined up. Following this, a timeout was called while the red zone switched to another game.
However, during such a key moment of the game, Brady’s broadcasting debut was found quite lackluster as fans highlighted. NFL RedZone’s Scott Hanson as well joined the list of Brady’s critics and called him out for being so less enthusiastic.
Brady has got to get more excited than that in the booth.Scott Hanson exclaimed
Despite his success in the sport as a player, Brady is still quite new to the world of broadcasting and he acknowledges it very well. And considering the level of charisma Brady used to have on the football field, the expectations from him as an analyst have already heightened. This is the reason why his debut during the regular season sparked such intense reactions from everywhere.
Scott Hanson expresses regret over comments on Tom Brady’s enthusiasm
Having an analyst calling out Brady for a poor job gave fans another reason to criticize the Fox Sports analyst. While fans are still finding it hard to adjust to the former legendary quarterback’s lack of enthusiasm, analyst Hanson realized being ‘inconsiderate’ quite soon and thus offered an equally public apology to the seven-time Super Bowl champion as his criticism.

This was unfair & inconsiderate by me. Yes, I was saying it tongue in cheek - but I didn’t calculate how it may come across… Tom Brady I apologize. I promise I am rooting you on in this new venture!Scott Hanson wrote on X tagging Tom Brady

Hanson clarified that he was intentionally calling Brady’s job bad, and he meant it as a light-hearted job and nothing else. If anything, he wishes for the former NLF player to thrive in the broadcasting industry. It may take more time for Brady to adjust and get the hook of broadcasting, but many believe he sure will ace the job in the future as he did in the NFL after spending his initial days struggling to find his place.
