A couple of things will never stop chasing Tom Brady. The deflate gate allegations, the jokes that were cracked at his Netflix roast, and the hope that he will change his mind and make a return to the football field despite being 47 years of age. Until Brady turns 50, a part of his fanbase will continue to hope that he decides to come back for one more year.
But it seems the time has come to accept the fact that Tom Brady will never make a return to the NFL in the capacity of a player. Despite Mike Florio’s comments on The Dan Patrick Show hinting at a potential return of Brady, former New England Patriots QB Scott Zolak put these rumors to rest with his justification.
In his most recent appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub Show, Zolak acknowledged the fact that from a physical perspective, Brady is still in amazing, if not in better shape than he was when he last played.
He looks good. It looks like he has put on some muscle. But he’s been through the process of retiring. He’s had multiple family parties, He’s made people travel halfway around the world to go to these (events). He did the whole thing with Mr. Kraft. All these, you know, it’s closer. It’s like having a funeral.
Scott Zolak said
Ever since he retired for the second time, the commemoration events thrown in the honor of Tom Brady to celebrate his career seem to have been taking place one after the other.
Tom Brady will devote his time and energy into his new-found career as a broadcaster
Zolak is of the opinion that these parties must be interpreted as a confirmation that Brady is done-and-dusted with playing as a quarterback in the NFL. The bigger factor than his desire to return would be Father Time himself. At the age of 47, Brady’s odds of being injured are high and his body’s ability to recover as it did is low.
Besides, another question worthy of asking is which NFL team would be willing to give Tom Brady a chance to be a starting QB? Not a lot. Tom Brady remains committed towards honoring his deal with FOX Sports. His 10-year broadcasting contract has kicked off and he will be making his debut in the booth on the 8th of September when the Cleveland Browns take on the Dallas Cowboys.
The seven-time NFL Super Bowl champion has attempted to take all the necessary measures to prepare himself well for this new role. From consulting his colleagues Greg Olsen and Peyton Manning to appearing on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and acknowledging he will give his best in this new role as well, Brady is excited to embark onto the next chapter of his life.
