Another event, another win for Scottie Scheffler. The World No.1 once again torched the playing field and took home the 2025 Memorial Tournament title. This win saw him match a feat that only Tiger Woods had done before.
Scheffler, the World No.1, once again has found his form. Following a slow start to the 2025 season, he claimed his first win of the year at the CJ Cup Bryson Nelson in his hometown of Texas.
A weeks later, the 28-year-old clinched his 3rd major championship as he won the PGA Championship at the Valhalla Course. He finished 5 shots ahead of runners-up Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau in this event to add another major title to his collection.
This week, he entered the Memorial Tournament as the defending champion. Following another slow start with scores of 70 on both Thursday and Friday, Scheffler started to make his mark on the moving day. With a score of 68 in the third round, he found himself in contention again.
The now 3-time major champion carded another score of 70 on Sunday. His performance was enough to go back-to-back in this event as he finished 4 shots ahead of runner-up Ben Griffin. Scheffler thus became just the second player to go back-to-back at the Memorial after Tiger Woods.

Woods, the 15-time major champion, won this event 5 times in his career. This included a three-peat from 1999 to 2001. Before the 2025 edition, nobody was able to successful defend their title in this event apart from Woods.
Scottie Scheffler sends emotional message to wife Meredith following 2025 Memorial Tournament win
Scottie Scheffler took home another crown on Sunday as he successfully defended the Memorial Tournament title. Following another win, the World No.1 golfer shared an emotional message to his wife, Meredith.

This week at the Memorial Tournament, Jack Nicklaus‘s wife, Barbara Nicklaus, was named as the 2025 honoree. The 18-time major champion would get emotional and tried to fight back tears as he revealed her as the honoree.
In one of the post-round interviews, Amanda Balionis would bring this up and ask Scheffler how much his wife meant to him. The golfer would once again get emotional while speaking about his better half.
Yeah, you’re really trying to make me emotional now. My wife is my biggest supporter; she’s my best friend. This is our life out here on the road, and it’s been a lot of fun. We’ve had some special memories at this tournament, and yeah, I definitely couldn’t do it without her.
