Seahawks WR DK Metcalf receives Tyreek Hill-esque challenge from Olympic Gold Medalist
Grant Hollway won Gold in Olympic but now he wants to beat Seahawks best sprinter DK Metcalf to prove he is faster than an NFL player.

Seattle Seahawks DK Metcalf has always loved to run fast. Despite his six-foot-four and 235-pound stature, Metcalf has cat-like agility, which he honed on the tracks back in Mississippi.
The 27-year-old is a unique combination of speed and strength that sometimes opposition coaches find it difficult to put a leash on him. However, this time around there won’t be any restrictions, so he can go all out.
On a new podcast named ‘Beyond the Records’ Olympic 110-meter hurdles gold medalist Grant Holloway got a question from Noah Lyles. Yes, the same Lyles who challenged Tyreek Hill for a 40-yard dash. Lyles asked Holloway if he would race against Metcalf on the track.
Both agreed that there should be a sprinting event during Pro Bowl games.

Metcalf can definitely give Holloway tough competition. Back in 2021, he won a chase down against Budda Baker, even though he began sprinting 20 yards behind him. Not only that, he has a 100-meter record of 10.37 seconds.
It’s still miles off Holloway’s pace. The Olympic hurdler won his gold by finishing the 100-meter outdoor hurdle race in 12.81 seconds. Not many may be aware that Holloway comes from a football background, unlike Lyles. He played ball as a wide receiver at Grassfield High School in his native Virginia.
The NFL committee can draw a massive turnout during the Pro Bowl event with a race featuring Holloway, Metcalf, Tyreek Hill, and Xavier Worthy.
What is DK Metcalf’s NFL combine score?
Metcalf was projected to be a late third-round pick before he went off in the NFL Combine in 2019. He shocked the officials by running the 40-yard dash in just 4.33 seconds. It’s still .11 seconds slower than Worthy’s 4.22 seconds in 2024 combine.
Regardless of the difference, one can be sure to see DK Metcalf giving his 200% if he, Worthy, and Holloway raced each other.
The race can wait for now. Metcalf’s sole purpose should be playing post-season football after a one-year gap. He has a respectable 54 catches from 94 targets for 812 yards (15.0 yards after catch) and 3 touchdowns.
Metcalf can easily cross the 1000-yard threshold in the remaining four games that feature the likes of the Packers, Vikings, Bears, and Rams.
