Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, recently posted a video of his sparring session. Sean O’Malley didn’t seem to be impressed with McGregor’s skills and couldn’t resist commenting on the post. The reigning UFC bantamweight champion’s critical remark has reignited the budding rivalry between him and McGregor.

The Montana native and the Irishman have had a strained relationship recently. The two have been trading barbs on social media over the past few months. McGregor recently displayed his pad work as he prepares for a possible fight against Michael Chandler. In response, O’Malley criticized McGregor’s techniques and movements in the comments section.

These comments from the bantamweight champion have been accumulating over the past few months. Interestingly, Suga has expressed his openness to the possibility of fighting McGregor if the opportunity arises as well.

For Suga, the chance to face the Irishman in the octagon would be nothing short of a dream come true. Many fighters aspire to compete against their idols, and this opportunity holds great significance. However, this potential matchup may only materialize when O’Malley and McGregor agree to fight in the same weight category. As such, there is much uncertainty.

Conor McGregor and Sean O’Malley used to have a good relationship. The bantamweight king even considered him a role model in the sport. However, things changed when the Irishman accused O’Malley of testing positive for Ostarine during the Ryan Garcia scandal. Despite the champion’s assertion that they had settled their differences, their conflict has actually intensified.

Suga appears committed to persist in targeting the Irishman, regardless of his actions. Recently, reports emerged that McGregor has been handed a two-year driving ban by a court. O’Malley seized this as an ideal moment to make a humorous ‘toe’ reference.

It appears that the ongoing banter between the two parties shows no signs of stopping. On the horizon, a significant confrontation between the two is likely, but it may take some time. In the meantime, O’Malley is all set to defend his title against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306, while McGregor is in the process of recovering from a recent toe injury that led to his withdrawal from UFC 303.
