Sean O’Malley has been given the responsibility to headline Dana White‘s $20 million dream project at the ‘Sphere.’ O’Malley will defend his bantamweight title against top challenger Merab Dvalishvili on the occasion of Mexican Independence Day. Going into the fight, the champion has some predictions about the possible outcome of the fight.

Over the years, Sean O’Malley has established himself as one of the best sharpshooters with a nasty knockout power in the UFC. ‘Suga’ dropped Aljamain Sterling to win the title and continued the same dominant striking form against Marlon Vera. Going into UFC 306 (Noche UFC), O’Malley mentioned that he won’t allow Dvalishvili even to utilize his wrestling prowess.

I don't think Merab is going to be the one to test my wrestling, to be honest, I truly believe I'm going to put his lights out very early.

According to O’Malley, he has the ability to exploit any single mistake by his opponents and knock them out easily. On the other hand, the Georgian star is well known for his cardio and ground control. Dvalishvili is confident about smacking O’Malley and his coach, Tim Welch, due to the ongoing rivalry.

Recently, Dvalishvili received heat from Dana White for getting a cut above his right eye and posting it on social media. White believed an accurate puncher like O’Malley could inflict devastating damage. As such, it was dumb move from the challenger to announce it publicly. Given the circumstances, O’Malley has already thought about a backup plan.

Merab Dvalishvili is not comfortable with getting insulted. His latest run-in with a disturbing fan was a great example of this. After the criticism from Dana White and MMA fans over the cut, the Georgian fighter took to social media and announced that the cut was not serious and that ‘weak fans’ shouldn’t worry about him.

Sean O’Malley was also mad at ‘little rat’ Dvalishvili and warned him not to pull out from the Las Vegas Sphere fight. However, ‘Suga’ has a solution for the scenario in case his opponent pulls out. In a recent tweet, O’Malley asked Umar Nurmagomedov to be ready to replace Dvalishvili on short notice.

Umar Nurmagomedov recently beat Cory Sandhagen to become the top contender for the title shot. O’Malley has also shared his intentions to fight Nurmagomedov due to potential pay-per-view popularity. If, by any chance, Dvalishvili pulls out, it won’t be surprising to see O’Malley defending his belt against the undefeated Dagestani.
