The relationship between Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor has deteriorated significantly in the last few months. Once a fan, O’Malley is now publicly taking shots at the ‘Notorious’. While there are various reasons for this fallout, their recent dispute covers a rather sensitive topic.

During one of his latest podcasts, Sean O’Malley talked about the time he was found positive for Ostarine. According to ‘Suga’, Ostarine can be transferred through sweat as he didn’t take the drug. However, this didn’t sit well with McGregor who taunted O’Malley’s claims via X. In retaliation, the bantamweight champion ripped McGregor by questioning his legacy as a MMA fighter.

Conor isn’t in anyone GOAT talk. Entertainment yes but skills, no. Has a really good left hand. Sh*t Cardio. Weak Jits. Decently athletic. Mentally weak. Drug addict, needs rehab. 1-4 last 5 fights. Still fan tho. Hope toe heals up

O’Malley pointed out that McGregor has lost four times in his last five bouts including the boxing bout and had a massive downfall. O’Malley revealed that irrespective of all that, he’s still looking forward to his comeback and wished for his speedy recovery. It seems like O’Malley still has respect for the Irishman but doesn’t look up to him anymore like earlier.

In May, McGregor went on a social media rant against boxer Ryan Garcia, who tested positive for Ostarine. Similarly, O’Malley was also ridiculed by McGregor for testing positive for the same substance in 2019. This was the beginning of the ongoing feud between O’Malley and McGregor which doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Sean O’Malley will always remain a fan of Conor McGregor

After the rant, during a live stream, Conor McGregor tried to mend things with Sean O’Malley. McGregor mentioned that he was angry at Ryan Garcia and O’Malley got caught in the crossfire. The bantamweight champion mentioned that he talked privately with McGregor but that wasn’t the case.

O’Malley has always been a huge fan of Conor McGregor. The fighter has followed the ‘Mystic Mac’ throughout his career and has taken inspiration from him. In an interview with MMA Fighting, O’Malley mentioned that irrespective of the feud, he will always remain a fan of McGregor.

I’ll forever be a massive Conor fan. The biggest fan, watched his career play out, watched every single interview possible. I learned a ton from him. He’s a legend. That’s it. It is what it is

O’Malley mentioned that he wanted to hate McGregor but couldn’t do it because of his immense appreciation for the Irishman. Nevertheless, O’Malley like every other fight fan is looking forward to McGregor’s return. Although there has been no official announcement, the former double champion has revealed talking to Dana White about the fight.

In case you missed it!
