UFC middleweight Sean Strickland recently went on a social media rant targeting a billionaire UFC fan. Tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg and his newfound fandom within MMA circles have yet to please Strickland in any way. Moroever, ‘Tarzan’ seemed equal parts confused and irritated by Zuckerberg’s rising popularity among UFC brass.

Strickland took to X to vent his frustrations. Sean Strickland seemed genuinely concerned about fighters’ wanting friendship with the Meta founder. The former middleweight champion asked if Zuckerberg’s Facebook censoring various voices across the political realm as a reason for the friendship. He also questioned whether the UFC fighters wanted to stay in the Metaverse.

I don't understand why fighters jerk off Zuckerberg.. What is it? The fact he acted as an arm of the federal government? Or maybe it's because manipulated information to brain wash us? You all wanna live in the metaverse? Get hooked up on some free goggles? I don't get it.

The outspoken 185-pounder appeared baffled that so many of his peers were cozying up to the Facebook founder. Strickland’s gruff comments seemed to aim at UFC CEO Dana White as well. White and UFC CBO Hunter Campbell always sit alongside Zuckerberg during UFC events.

Strickland’s previous social media dust-up with Meta temporarily cost him his accounts. Strickland’s biting comments gave a voice to those bewildered by the tech titan’s sudden MMA enthusiasm. The American fighter has entertained fans with his trash-talk game online, and fans don’t have to wait much longer to see him fight inside the octagon. Strickland is set to fight against Paulo Costa at UFC 302 as a co-main event attraction to Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier.

Sean Strickland goes off on Mark Zuckerberg

Sean Strickland is never one to mince words. The outspoken 33-year-old recently took aim at tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg. The fighter and the tech mogul belong to the opposite side of politics. Strickland has right-wing and libertarian views, whereas Zuckerberg is a liberal. As such, Strickland unleashed a blistering social media assault on the Facebook founder.

This scathing retort occurred when Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg teased an MMA bout. Strickland, clearly not a fan of Zuckerberg, berated him with degrading comments. He insinuated that Zuckerberg was spreading misinformation through Facebook.

Man f*** Mark Zuckerberg.. Dirty communist.... No one wants your goggles and your disinformation censorship but.... Facebook market gets a pass....

Of course, Strickland is no stranger to making provocative statements. While his unfiltered rants can raise eyebrows, they undoubtedly generate engagement. Fight fans seemed to embrace his brash persona and blunt speech. Strickland’s tirade against Zuckerberg is far from over and he will likely continue to make similar comments if and when provoked.
