UFC star Sean Strickland doesn’t shy away from speaking his heart out about anyone from the MMA community. The American fighter has an unfiltered personality, which is often liked by the fans. Recently, he went off on top middleweight contender Khamzat Chimaev, and dug out past incidents.

Strickland and Chimaev used to be on good terms, and once trained in the same gym. However, over the years, their relationship has mutually deteriorated with both fighters throwing shade at each other online. Recently, when asked about potentially fighting the Chechen, Strickland went on a wild rant.

Big C*mshot. He’s a Chechnyan f****ing whore….He fled sh** f***ing country to have better live in Sweden. You go back and suck off the same f***king dictator….he f***king owns you….and then you started doing crypto scams. You are not f***ing man.

Previously, Chimaev’s relationship with warlord Ramzan Kadyrov has often found him in hot waters. It has also made it hard for the fighter to get a visa in order to fight on US soil. Strickland has even roasted him by calling him a terrorist, who is not compatible to enter the country.

Khamzat Chimaev had also received criticism for allegedly pumping and dumping cryptocurrency, and was caught by internet experts. His manager tried to keep him out of it, saying that the Chechen had no idea about the deal. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop Strickland from mocking him and pointing out the hypocrisy.

One year after his middleweight title loss, Sean Strickland now has the opportunity to get back his revenge at Dricus Du Plessis. The pair would go against each other at UFC 312 inside the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. Going into the fight, DDP has massive momentum behind him which could help him win.

On the other hand, Strickland will have the support of the hardest hitter on the UFC roster, Alex Pereira. The former rivals have buried the hatchet, and now train with each other. In a recent interview, Strickland’s coach, Eric Nicksick, shared details about the same.

We will have Alex Pereira in the corner, so dropping the news right now… He’s a good friend of Sean. He’s a great training partner. Obviously, these guys have fought, but after the fight, I think it takes a man to go and learn from the guy who caught you with something.

Pereira himself has a bone to pick against Dricus Du Plessis. After DDP submitted former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, Pereira talked about moving down and fighting Du Plessis. It would be interesting to see how the presence of Poatan could impact the fight between Strickland and the champion.
