Sean Strickland is undoubtedly one of the most controversial fighters currently on the UFC roster, known for his polarizing personality. The former UFC middleweight champion often shares his unapologetic views on various topics, which regularly lead to heated disputes and controversies. In his latest online feud, the outspoken fighter has surprisingly involved WWE superstar and icon Dwayne Johnson.
Strickland considers himself a true patriot and frequently expresses opinions about improving America and preserving its core traditional values. He openly supported President Donald Trump during last year’s election, which further amplified his already controversial public persona. In his latest tweet, Strickland posted a sarcastic comment about Dwayne Johnson that quickly went viral.
Oh man I was about to make fun of Dwayne Johnson for being a potential lizard person sent infiltrate and destroy America But then I just googled it and he’s on the board of directors for the UFC…F**k that was a close call….

In reality, Johnson is officially one of the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company overseeing UFC and WWE. This appointment took place on January 23, 2024, marking a major milestone in his already influential business and entertainment career. As part of the deal, Johnson also secured complete ownership of his iconic trademarked name “The Rock” from WWE.

Fuck that was a close call…. :/
Additionally, he signed a services and merchandising agreement with WWE, strengthening his long-term partnership with the world’s leading wrestling organization. His inclusion on the TKO board is expected to expand global reach, boost brand value, and attract mainstream investors worldwide. Despite being 53 years old, Johnson still makes special appearances in WWE, keeping his legendary wrestling persona.
His most recent major participation came at WrestleMania 40, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns. In a headline tag match, he and Reigns went against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins and won the match. ‘The Rock’ is also a huge UFC fan and has attended a couple of events, notably at UFC 244. However, he isn’t necessarily in the UFC top brass as Strickland had imagined.
Nevertheless, Strickland currently faces bigger concerns after losing his recent title fight, leaving fans disappointed and questioning his overall intent. Following the setback, Strickland openly called out Khamzat Chimaev, vowing to dethrone the feared ‘Borz’. However, the matchup doesn’t appear viable right now, with UFC matchmaking priorities and Chimaev’s career trajectory.
Sean Strickland comments on the recent controversy related to Rampage Jackson
Recently, at the Knockx Wrestling event, chaos erupted when Raja Jackson, son of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, brutally assaulted wrestler Stuart Smith. The assault went beyond scripted entertainment, leaving Stuart with multiple fractures in his ribs and face, causing terrifying breathing difficulties. Police launched an immediate investigation into Raja, with potential felony charges looming due to the reckless nature.

The combat sports community reacted with outrage, condemning Raja’s actions as everything was recorded live on KICK. Following the incident, an old video of Rampage went viral, in which he talked about saving bail money for Raja. Strickland recently commented on the reel, the whole thing, sarcastically roasting both
Well least he will have bail money….. “I aint no b**ch dad”

Strickland previously mentioned that Raja Jackson shouldn’t go to prison, instead suggesting there should be a different solution as punishment. This statement didn’t sit well with fans, who quickly pointed out that Strickland is suspended for assaulting a fighter during an event.
Nevertheless, Rampage Jackson has frequently stated that he doesn’t condone his son’s actions, while still publicly wishing the victim, Smith, good luck. However, the veteran fighter didn’t appreciate the alleged racism directed toward him so and he has consistently spoken against it.
