Sean Strickland secures biggest victory by outperforming Jack Hermansson at UFC Vegas 47 main-event

UFC Middleweight Sean Strickland is now on a 6-fight winning streak and there’s no stopping to the southern California native as he successfully shuts down his opponent Jack Hermansson‘s takedown attempts to secure by far the biggest victory of his career at UFC Vegas 47. Strickland is now most likely to fight the top-5 contender but would prefer to get a title shot now if possible. Round 1: Jack Hermansson throws a powerful outside leg kick. Sean Strickland starts off with power jabs. Sean keeps on jabbing Jack and makes pressure on the fight. Jack’s not as pressuring as Sean. Round 3: Sean seems to be controlling the pace of the fight. The takedown attempts by Jack has been unsuccessful. Sean is landing jab after jab spot on Jack’s face. Jack lands a good lead body kick. Sean returns with his own kick after some time. As of now, there’s nothing much in the fight happening other than Sean staying calculated while throwing his straight punches. Round 4: Jack needs to keep a pressurized pace on Sean, waiting to take a shot is doing nothing but worse against the latter. Another takedown attempt by Jack and he seems to have lost it because of time consumption. Sean has been as tough to hit as any fighter out there. Sean’s jab just simply imbalances Jack.
Sean’s defence with his hands is on point. He is fighting at his pace. Sean is just moving just slightly out of the way so that he can enter the range back to attack Jack. Sean throws a leg kick with his punches. Jack is trying hard and failing to take Sean offensively. Sean Strickland is clearly in control of the fight heading into the final round. Round 5: Sean keeps on controlling the fight. Jack is a bit out of range in striking. What Sean is specifically good at defending are the looping punches from Jack. Jack is picking up a little bit tough in the final round. Being down 4 rounds to 1, Jack may focus on getting a finish. Comparatively better round for Jack since his landing the body shot.
But the punches to the head are still getting missed by him. Sean, on the other hand, throws some kicks along with some beautiful combinations. Hermansson goes for another takedown, but enable again.
