Sean Strickland is infamous for having an unapologetic persona, which often leads him to having controversies. The former middleweight champion doesn’t shy away from sharing his opinion, and many fans like this about him. Recently, he took this to a new level and mocked Belal Muhammad because of his political ideologies.
Muhammad has also publicly shared his hate towards Strickland and his personality. He recently predicted Strickland would get knocked out by Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312. The welterweight champion also shared his intentions to move up and teach ‘Tarzan’ a lesson. In response, in his latest rant, Strickland suggested the welterweight champion to leave the US and move to Palestine.
Belal Muhammad has often spoken about his support for Palestine and considers himself the first-ever Palestinian UFC champion. The welterweight champion always uses his platform to convey the message about the ongoing Israel-Palestine war. According to Strickland, Muhammad should go and fight for Palestine instead of spreading awareness.

“Belal, do me a favour, shut the f*** up. Go get on a boat, go back to f***ing Palestine, go pick up a rock and go do something.”

Muhammad, on the other hand, finds it very disrespectful and condemns Strickland for laughing and making jokes about people’s suffering. It is definitely one of the most heated rivalries in the current UFC roster and it would be interesting to see how it develops. But for now, Strickland will have to focus on his upcoming title fight.
Sean Strickland warns Dricus Du Plessis ahead of his title fight at UFC 312
Dricus Du Plessis became the UFC middleweight champion by defeating Sean Strickland at UFC 297 in Canada. The fight was controversial because many thought Strickland’s jab and defense should have earned him the decision victory. He complained post-fight, claiming the judges favored Du Plessis’ aggression over effective striking.
Strickland also criticized the UFC, suggesting they wanted a new champion and implying politics influenced the scoring against him. The American fighter has bounced back from that loss, and is ready to get back his lost glory. Ahead of the rematch, ‘Tarzan’ has issued some serious threats against the champion.
Strickland also went ahead and asked DDP to ‘fight like men’ and not shoot for takedowns. However, the South African shut down the proposal citing that this isn’t boxing and he’s a complete fighter. It would be interesting to see how the fight goes and if the fans see a definitive end to this rivalry.
