Tyson ‘TenZ‘ Ngo, who was born on May 5th, 2001, is a Canadian player. TenZ is one of the most mechanically inclined players in the Valorant space. TenZ is arguably the Best Valorant player of North America as well as the World.

TenZ currently plays for Sentinels on loan from Cloud9 Blue. On January 12, TenZ stepped down from Cloud9 to pursue a career in content creation. TenZ signed his 3 years long contract with Cloud9 when he was only 18 years old.

In March, following the controversy surrounding Valorant player and former Overwatch League MVP Sinatra, Tenz joined Sentinels as a stand-in for the Valorant Champions Tour. TenZ performed really well in Valorant Champions Tour Challengers Stage 2 and then Sentinels extended TenZ’s loan period. Then TenZ participated in VCT Masters Stage 2 Iceland and they won the tournament. TenZ was also the MVP of the whole tournament.

According to The Esports Observer, “The player transfer agreement of Tyson “TenZ” Ngo from Cloud9 to Sentinels was signed in April that allowed an option for Sentinels to purchase Ngo’s contract, which has now been completed. Sources have told TEO that the transaction was a “seven-figure” deal.

Ngo, who was signed to Cloud9 Blue’s Valorant roster in April 2020, has been playing with Sentinels since March as a “loaned player” from Cloud9. The loan came about due to the investigation and subsequent suspension of former Overwatch League MVP turned Sentinel Valorant pro, Jay “sinatraa” Won, after allegations of misconduct were leveled by Won’s former girlfriend.”

Sentinels are also very proud of this buyout as the tweeted, “He’s here to stay”

TenZ being in a contract jail was a hot topic for a day but now he is free and he will play with the team he “prayed” to play with as Sentinels buy TenZ.
