Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and tennis icon Serena Williams have remained a power couple in the US. Their appearance at high-profile events always catches the attention of the public. Interestingly, when the pair began dating, Ohanian faced many questions from Williams and her team.
In Serena Williams’ ESPN+ documentary, In the Arena, she recalled when she brought her agent, Jill Smoller, and her assistant on her first date with Alexis Ohanian. He confessed to being the only one on his side of the table while the two women bombarded him with questions. Even though Ohanian gave perfect answers, it was quite an interrogation.

The couple shared a text exchange they had in the past wherein Ohanian asked Williams out for dinner. The tennis icon agreed only on the condition that she was gonna bring her agent and assistant. The couple have been happily married for seven years and are parents to two daughters.
Although what sailed the boat was the MCU character Tony Stark, surprisingly. Smoller looked back on how Ohanian started talking about Iron Man and Marvel comic books. As such, the agent felt that Williams finally had somebody to talk to about things she liked.
Serena Williams is Alexis Ohanian’s biggest supporter
Alexis Ohanian turned into a sports enthusiast after his marriage with Serena Williams. After Ohanian’s outing at the Paris Olympics, he returned to the job with his recent venture, Althos, supporting women’s Track and Field.
It is a one-of-a-kind female only initiative with the biggest monetary reward on the table there is. Serena Williams was all there to support him. She reposted Ohanian’s interview with CBS Mornings post on X and called Ohanian the biggest supporter and advocate of women’s sports.
Ohanian’s initiative might just change the scenario for women’s track and field athletes. It would come with a better opportunity to earn more money, increase social media following and get brand endorsements.
Much has been made about the personal lives of Ohanian and Williams. Sometimes, it even deals with divorce talks. Nevertheless, Williams’ post also shut down the divorce rumors spiraling around due to Ohanian’s absence in her European trip pictures.
