Serena Williams has criticized a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, claiming she and her children were denied entry. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, she said it was the first time she faced such an issue with her family.
The incident took place at L’Oiseau Blanc, the rooftop restaurant of The Peninsula Hotel. Williams shared her disappointment, but the hotel’s X account responded, stating they were fully booked that night.
Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places ? but never with my kids. Always a first.Serena Williams wrote

The Independent has reached out to both The Peninsula and Williams’ representatives for comments. So far, there has been no further information from either side.
Williams arrived in Paris in late July for the Olympic opening ceremony. The retired tennis star was a torchbearer, joining athletes like Rafael Nadal and Carl Lewis, as well as French sports icons Zinedine Zidane, Teddy Riner, Marie-José Pérec, and Tony Parker.
Serena Williams was also in attendance to watch Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz in the Olympic Gold Medal match
Serena Williams brought sporty style to the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday. She watched the tennis men’s singles final between Novak Djokovic from Serbia and Carlos Alcaraz from Spain.

Serena, now retired, wore a Nike letterman jacket with her initials. She paired it with leggings that had the Nike “Swoosh” above the knees. She finished her look with a tank top, sleek sneakers, a gold chain necklace, a small handbag, and oversized sunglasses. Her long honey-blond hair was in loose curls.
At the match, Serena was with her sister, Isha Price, and Thomas Bach, the president of the International Olympic Committee. Other stars in the crowd included Sharon Stone, John Travolta, and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Djokovic, considered the best men’s tennis player of all time titles wise, won against Alcaraz in straight sets 7-6 7-6, earning him his first Olympic gold medal.
