Serena Williams husband announces $60k prize for gold medal after paying rent of USA athlete
Alexis Ohanian continues with his charitable donations that could immensely help young and upcoming talents in the country.

USA athlete Veronica Fraley revealed having trouble paying her rent amidst Paris Olympics preparations. Rapper Flavor Frav and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian offered financial help, with Ohanian contributing $7760. As such, Serena Williams‘ husband has remained in the limelight for these charitable deeds.
USA track and field athlete took to X to reveal that she faced financial troubles before her Olympic debut. She tweeted that her school only sent her 75% of the rent. Further, Fraley mentioned that they were instead paying football players who hadn’t won anything. Fraley thrashed them, saying they certainly had enough to buy new cars and houses.
As a response, Frav tweeted to give her maximum support. He asked her to DM him, and he said he would send her the payment. Frav mentioned that he would take care of that so that the USA athlete could focus on the Olympics, and he would be cheering her. Ohanian also went on to ask her for her $cashtag. In addition to that, Alexis Ohanian tweeted that he will be splitting with Frav.
Later, Ohanian updated the followers with a Venmo payment screenshot of $7760. Further, when asked about the calculations, he revealed that he just paid $7760 because he liked the number because of his firm. Fraley thanked them, saying this made a huge impact. She revealed her future plans of competing in the World Championships in 2025 and aiming for the 2028 Olympics.
Alexis Ohanian put a bounty for track and field athlete to achieve
Serena William‘s husband announced huge prize money for any track and field athlete who wins a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. The catch, though, is that they must have been signed up to be a part of the Althos NYC league.
Alexis Ohanian went on X to reveal the bouts of the event. He revealed that in addition to the gold-medalist Olympian’s bounty, he put in another amount to the winner of the Althos event. He announced that the prize money for the event was bigger than any other in the history of track and field. In each category, the winners will get a whopping $60,000 as a reward.
The Althos is set to take place on September 26 at the Icahn Stadium. Although the names of the participants were not revealed, some slipped the list. Gabby Thomas and Annie Tagoe were among the first athletes to sign up. Further, they were joined by Faith Kipyegon and Alexis Holmes.
