The Argentinean forward is Manchester City’s greatest striker and has scored the most number of goals for the Cityzens but has a problem with injuries as the years have progressed

Manchester City’s star striker Sergio Aguero has tested positive for COVID-19 and will go into a further period of self-isolation. He had been self-isolating since January 10 when he came into contact with a positive case person and hasn’t played for Manchester City since then. His absence from the squad will now continue well until February as per Premier League protocols now.

His latest test came back positive for COVID-19 and guidelines require him to self-isolate for 2 weeks

The Premier League protocols require him to isolate himself for a period of two weeks and only after that will he be allowed to play. On top of that he must obviously return a negative test after two weeks in order to be cleared to play any game for Manchester City. In this period he is set to miss out on 5 matches for Manchester City and could be back for the match against Liverpool on the 7th of February.

The matches that he will miss will include a FA Cup 4th round clash against Cheltenham and Premier League games against West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United and Burnley. If things go well for him he might just return for the clash against Liverpool at Anfield on the 7th of February.
