Manchester City forward, Sergio Aguero has finally broken his silence on his future. Sergio Aguero’s contract with Manchester City runs out this summer and no contract extension has been offered to him yet.

Aguero recently did an interview on Ibai’s Twitch channel and spoke on length about his contractual situation at City. His time seemed to have come to an end when Guardiola arrived at City but Aguero proved his credentials.

FC Barcelona are looking at Aguero as an option to solve their No. 9 problem

Aguero said he will take his time to decide on what the next step in his career will be.

“I finish my contract at the end of the season and I don’t know what I’ll do yet,” he told Spanish YouTube show Charlando Tranquilamente.

“I just want to play for the rest of the season and then we’ll see.”

Sergio Aguero is Manchester City’s leading goal scorer

The 32-year-old Argentinean forward has been at the Etihad since 2011 and has already earned legendary status at the club. He has become City’s all-time leading scorer with a sensational 256 goals across 379 appearances. Aguero has helped them win four PremierLeague titles, an FA Cup and five League Cups.

Sergio Aguero was also asked about the chances of playing with Lionel Messi next season and gave an interesting answer.

“Who doesn’t like to play with Leo?”

However, Aguero has been a peripheral figure this season after struggling with injuries, and has managed just five Premier League appearances. FC Barcelona are waiting in the wings if Aguero does not renew his contract at the end of the season.
