Inter Milan drew 2-2 with Atalanta in the Serie A in an absolute stunning game of football on Saturday night. Lautaro Martinez gave the hosts the early lead bit Atalanta made a comeback in the second half with goals from Malinovskiy and Toloi. Edin Dzeko then found the equaliser for Inter Milan before Federico Dimarco missed a penalty. Piccoli almost won it for Atalanta but VAR intervened to overrule the goal.

Samir Handanovic (6/10)- the Inter Milan goalkeeper had absolutely no chance with the first goal but made a mistake on the second.

Stefan de Vrij (6/10)- Not a very good game by Stephan De Vrij who made some silly challenges which is unlike him.

Alessandro Bastoni (6/10)- The defender was the first Inter Milan player to be booked after a late challenge on Pessina.

Milan Skriniar (6/10)- Skriniar had a good opportunity with a header from the centre of the box but his shot went wide.

Hakan Calhanoglu (6/10)- Calhanoglu couldn’t get much rhythm going on today and made some rash tackles due to frustration.

Nicolò Barella (7/10) – Nico Barella produced an absolute beauty of a delivery for Lautaro Martinez to convert into the back of the net.

Marcelo Brozovic (6/10)- The midfielder found Denzel Dumfries in space and slid in a through ball but yhe resultant shot was saved.

Ivan Perisic (6/10)- the Croatian international was played in his favourite position on the left side of the midfield but couldn’t produce much chances.

Matteo Darmian( 7/10)- Darmian managed to set Edin Dzeko free with a lovely whipped cross but the striker spilled his lines.

Lautaro Martínez (8/10)- The Argentine striker was once again on the scoresheet after he fired Inter Milan into the lead with a goal in just the fifth minute.

Edin Dzeko (8/10)- The Bosnian striker had a golden opportunity to get Inter Milan the first goal however his side footed shot went wide. However in typical style managed to get the equaliser in the second half.

Substitutes

Denzel Dumfries (6/10) – The attacking Dutchman was brought on Early in the second half in place of Matteo Darmian and had a shot saved.

Federico Dimarco (5/10) – Inter Milan brought on more attacking options with Dimarco for defender Bastoni. He had a good shot saved by Musso but the main miss was in the penalty in the 85th minute as he hit the post.

Mattias Vecino (6/10)- The midfielder came in place of Halkan Calhanoglu who had a miserable match.

Atalanta

Juan Musso (7/10)- The Atalanta goalkeeper made some crucial saves in the second half off Dumfries and Dimarco.

Merih Demiral (5/10)- The defender made mess of the great work by Atalanta and conceded a penalty in the final moments

José Palomino (6/10)- The defender was having a good game but then was taken off in the second half due to injury.

Rafael Tolói (8/10)- Toloi was extremely alert inside the penalty box and as soon as Handanovic spilled the ball he wasted no time to turn it back in.

Remo Freuler (7/10)- Put in a fantastic delivery into Malinovskiy who slid in with the shot but was denied

Marten de Roon (7/10) – Had a crack at goal with a driving hard volley near the left post which went whizzing wide.

Matteo Pessina (6/10)- The midfielder didn’t have the best games tonight and was continuously taken out of possession.

Robin Gosens (7/10)- The German fullback almost brought the visitors ahead late on with a delightful cross into Maehle.

Davide Zappacosta (6/10)- The former Chelsea fullback was not at his best tonight and brought down Dimarco to get himself a yellow card.

Duván Zapata (7/10) – Zapata went into the referees book for dissent in the first half but his hold up play was excellent throughout the game. He had a shot off the post in the second half.

Ruslan Malinovskyi (9/10)- The striker scored an absolute screamer of a goal with his left foot which gave Handanovic absolutely no chance. He tried another shot which resulted in the second goal. The absolute mastermind behind Atalanta’s success.

Substitutes

Joakim Maehle (6/10)- The defender replaced the injured Jose Luis Palomino in the second half and missed a golden opportunity at the near post.

Berat Djimsiti (5/10)- The midfielder came on for a like to like substitution with Pessina.

Josep Ilicic (6/10)- The striker replaced the star man for tonight Ruslan Malinovskiy early on in the second half. His right footed shot was saved by Handanovic.

Mario Pasalic (5/10)- One Chelsea man came on for another as Pasalic replaced Davide Zappacosta late on.

Roberto Piccoli (8/10)- Late late drama at the San Siro as Piccoli fired the visitors in the lead with minutes left on the clock with his right footed shot but VAR overruled the goal!
