Serie A: Udinese vs Juventus Player Ratings

Juventus did not have the perfect start to their Serie A campaign as Massimilano Allegri’s side settled for a 2-2 draw against Udinese on Sunday. The Biaconeri, who had Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench, kicked off in fine fashion, with Paulo Dybala threading past the defence to score the opener in just the third minute of the game to pull ahead in the contest.

The Argentine who struggled last season under Andrea Pirlo then turned creator as Juventus quickly doubled their lead 20 minutes later to go 2-0 up. However, the Old Lady couldn’t kill the game and allowed Udinese the opportunity to claw back, and the hosts did so in some style in the second half.

Roberto Pereryra scored a deftly executed penalty, before former Barcelona man Gerard Deulofeu scored the equaliser seven minutes from time. Allegri put on Cristiano Ronaldo, Federico Chiesa and Dejan Kulsuveski in search of a goal but his side couldn’t manage to seal the three points at Stadio Friuli. Ronaldo did get onto the scoresheet deep into stoppage time, but VAR ruled that the 36-year-old was offside and the Bicaoneri had to settle for spoils from the game.
