The worst fear of Seth Rollins‘ fans has come true. In a guest appearance on Good Morning Football, ‘The Visionary’ dramatically moaned that he’s going to be out of action for six months. Rollins made this revelation while playfully slamming Kyle Brandt for when the latter turned up on GMF in an arm sling. The NFL Network host did so in order to mock Rollins after he faked a knee injury.
‘The Architect’ consequently blamed Brandt for putting this supposed curse into this universe, as Rollins picked up the shoulder injury months after the Days of Our Lives actor jabbed at the ex-Vision leader by faking that he was slung. After Brandt noted that there are still people who believe Rollins is working them yet again with the injury, the wrestler adopted a dramatic cadence.

The Iowa native hoped he could rip it off, but lamented that he’s sidelined for half a year. Addressing the fate of the World Heavyweight Championship that he had to forfeit, ‘The Drop God’ quipped that it’s going to be worn by either CM Punk or Jey Uso, both of whom were referred to as schmucks by Rollins. The former Shield member buckled his shoulder in a match where he broke new ground.
It was back at Crown Jewel in Perth when the 39-year-old went one-on-one with Cody Rhodes. They were putting on a clinic until Rollins decided to do something brave, or maybe brazen in hindsight. ‘The Visionary’ tried executing a coast-to-coast headbutt on Rhodes from one corner of the ring to where ‘The American Nightmare’ was lying upside down.
Rollins miscued and ended up landing abruptly on the mat with his left shoulder taking the brunt of it. Even though the injury appeared serious, the fans remained optimistic about his WrestleMania chances in 2026. Some within WWE were under the same impression, but given what came from the horse’s mouth as aforementioned, Rollins is on track to miss his first WrestleMania since 2016.
Why did WWE hold back on crowning Bron Breakker as the world champion immediately after Seth Rollins’ injury disaster?
Bron Breakker was the first recruit for the ‘Vision’, which, as per Seth Rollins, was formulated to shape the future of professional wrestling. After dropping the Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal-4-Way match at WrestleMania 41, ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ shook hands with ‘The Visionary’ and his then-Oracle, Paul Heyman.

Fast forward almost six months, and the man who put it all together has been axed from the group. Rollins’ ouster was reportedly fast-tracked due to the unfortunate injury that he suffered at Crown Jewel. ‘The Revolutionary’ belittled his faction members in a promo, and that didn’t end well for him. Breakker took up the initiative to wipe Rollins out, and he got the support of Bronson Reed in the process.
The Steiner descendant had held the world title hostage for a week until Adam Pearce asked him to return it with all due respect. Breakker did some teasing before telling Pearce to say please for expecting anything in return. The Raw general manager did what was asked of him, and he managed to salvage the Rollins-vacated World Heavyweight title.
The fans were heavily expecting WWE to line up Breakker as the next rightful holder of that belt. However, there’s a reason why it didn’t happen right off the bat. As per WON, the former Wolfdogs member is indeed pegged to end up as the world champion, though not without a proper plan in place.
Bron Breakker is planned to become World Heavyweight Champion, but WWE decided Saturday Night's Main Event wouldn't be the right time or place:

Breakker is expected to end up as champion, but they have a plan of how and when to execute it, and it happening on an SNME show which… pic.twitter.com/2wedOLr2Ey
Moreover, the company didn’t prefer a Peacock-exclusive like Saturday Night’s Main Event to crown Breakker, as the show is no longer simulcast on NBC and Peacock, and a probable slump in viewing figures is inevitable. The ideal scenario would’ve seen Seth Rollins eventually lose the world title to his ex-disciple at WrestleMania 42. But it just wasn’t to be.
