The 2025 season hasn’t panned out the way Josh Allen would have hoped for. He has nonetheless accomplished enough to persuade fans of other teams that the Buffalo Bills have a legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl in February in San Francisco.

The fan in question is a staunch Chicago Bears supporter and WWE superstar Seth Rollins. During a recent appearance on Good Morning Football, Rollins claimed that Allen possesses all the necessary tools to win his first ring.

Of course, he acknowledged that his numbers are a far cry compared to his MVP-winning season, but he is still piling up the wins. In 13 games, Allen has completed 70% of his passes and contributed 34 total touchdowns, reaching a new level in the last four games with 12 total touchdowns.

Rollins praised the Pro Bowler’s clutch ability to just create something out of nothing.

When crunch time comes, when they get to the playoffs, which [it] looks like Buffalo is gonna move their way in there, barring anything crazy. When crunch time comes, I want the ball in my best players’ hands. The best player in the league [is Josh Allen].

Josh Allen has a clear path ahead of him

The AFC has been dominated by Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow aside from Allen for the last five years. Mahomes played in four of the last five Super Bowls while Burrow’s Bengals played in one.

Allen and the Bills are the only ones with a clear path into the playoffs. The 6-7 Chiefs, 6-7 Ravens, and 4-9 Bengals can’t afford to lose games anymore if they wish to play January football.

This makes the Bills the favorites to win the AFC and perhaps even the Super Bowl.

I know there’s gonna be these asterisks with Patrick [Mahomes] not there, if Lamar [Jackson’s] not there, obviously Joe Burrow’s not there. But at the end of the day, Josh Allen has an opportunity to take this Bills team to the Super Bowl.

Rollins added

Rollins doesn’t trust the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos, both teams boasting 11-2 records, to stop Allen from winning his first ring.

I trust Josh Allen with the game on the line in a big-time situation.

Seth Rollins quipped

Currently, the Bills are the only AFC team in the top four with the best odds to win the Super Bowl. Ahead of them are two NFC franchises, the 10-3 Los Angeles Rams and the 10-3 Seattle Seahawks.

Analyst backs Josh Allen to dominate the playoffs with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on the brink of elimination

Sports Illustrated writer Gilbert Manzano agreed with Rollins. Besides the Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bills face two teams that have a combined win record of 6-20 (the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets).

Allen could finally surpass Mahomes in the quarterback rankings by leading the Bills to their first Super Bowl title on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Chiefs backing into the postseason… Only to see whether Allen can finally get over the red and gold wall in January.

Manzano wrote

The Chiefs face the Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, and Titans, matchups that in past seasons might have been a cakewalk for Mahomes, but this year he has struggled to carry his team across the victory line.

Allen doesn’t need to secure the top seed in order to establish his dominance. A playoff bye would offer some much-needed rest, but for now, the sole focus should be on beating the Patriots.
