It does seem like Seth Rollins is getting closer and closer to making his WWE return. The Visionary’s latest public outing has sparked rumors of him being in great physical shape compared to a couple of months ago.
Rollins was at Soldier Field on Saturday to render his fandom for the Chicago Bears as they took on the Green Bay Packers. As seen in the following clip, the 6-time world champion could be heard hyping up his favorite NFL team by starting a “Let’s Go Bears” chant on the microphone.
There’s no way one could tell he had a cast on his left shoulder until just about a few days ago. And now it’s off as per the timeline given by Rollins himself when he talked about the recovery process of his injury on Bert Kreischer‘s podcast.

Rollins’ animated cheer-up for the Bears paid off after ‘The Monsters of the Midway’ clinched a thriller against the Packers after it went overtime. Also, the Bears have booked their way into the all-important NFL playoffs by virtue of the Pittsburgh Steelers dispatching the Detroit Lions in an away clash on Sunday.
Rollins, for once, would feel he doesn’t hate football as much as he so often claims. As evident from the aforementioned video clip, the Iowa native has no apparent discomfort in swinging his arms. While he’s yet to resume training for an in-ring return, getting rid of the cast is a step in the right direction.
Those on social media have started to get their hopes up for the former Vision leader pulling off a miraculous WWE return as early as the 2026 Royal Rumble match. Less than six weeks are left until the premium live event in Riyadh.
And as is so often the case in pro wrestling, the fans are hoping against hope when it comes to seeing Rollins back in a WWE ring. He suffered a torn rotator cuff wrestling Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, and ‘The Architect’ recently dove into it.
Seth Rollins underscores the importance of his WWE trilogy with Cody Rhodes
Seth Rollins‘ first singles win over Cody Rhodes since the latter’s WWE return in 2022 cost him a shoulder and months of his career. ‘The Visionary’ wasn’t able to get the better of the Undisputed WWE Champion in any of the three encounters they had since the moment Rhodes came back at WrestleMania 38.

Looking back on the trilogy he had with Rhodes in 2022, Rollins recently claimed that the former AEW EVP wouldn’t have transformed into the level of star he is today if not for Rhodes three-peating him. Speaking on the Games with Names podcast, ‘The Drip God’ emphasized that the onus was on Rhodes to get his American Nightmare gimmick over with the WWE audience.
Without it, Cody Rhodes is not who he is. I’m fine. I never left WWE. I’ve been here, I’ve been the flagbearer, I helped take the thing to the next level. These three matches, and this performance, especially really cemented him as the guy who could be the next guy. The audience immediately believed in him from this moment and he was their guy.

Prior to his return, there were rumors on social media regarding Rhodes coming back as ‘The Dashing One’ or, at worst, as Stardust. But fortunately enough, the son of the late Dusty Rhodes insisted on retaining the character that launched him into a whole other stratosphere.
Rollins also said in the aforementioned conversation that WWE was looking to position Rhodes in a John Cena-level position, which the company eventually succeeded in doing.
‘The Visionary’ outlined Rhodes’ gutsy Hell in a Cell performance, which he delivered while sporting an ugly pectoral muscle tear mark on his upper chest.
As per Rollins, it really cemented Rhodes’ chances of being WWE’s next top babyface. ‘The Prodigal Son’ has since won the WWE title twice, once beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and taking it back from John Cena at this year’s SummerSlam.
